Most Popular Classic Cocktails: WHISKY

The Manhattan


Expertise level: Easy

COMBINE whiskey, vermouth and bitters into a cocktail shaker with ice and STIR. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. GARNISH with a cherry.
2 shots whiskey (rye usually)
20ml sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 cherry


The Old Fashioned

Expertise level: Medium

Place a brown sugar cube into a rocks glass. Dash the bitters directly on top and quickly muddle. Pour whiskey into the glass, add a large ice cube and STIR a dozen times. GARNISH  with lemon or orange peel.

● 2 shots whiskey (bourbon usually)
● 1 brown sugar cube or simple syrup
● 2 dashes Angostura bitters
● 1 lemon or orange peel


The Whisky Sour

Expertise Level: Hard

COMBINE whiskey, grapefruit, lemon, simple syrup, and sea salt into a cocktail shaker. Crack an egg and add egg white. SHAKE all ingredients without ice. Add ice, SHAKE until chilled, and strain into a cocktail glass.

2 shot whiskey
 2 dashes angostura bitters
.35 ml fresh lemon juice
.1/2 shot sugar syrup
1 egg white
1 pinch of sea salt
