Most Popular Classic Cocktails: GIN

While some may sneer at the idea of a cocktail in a can, (until they've tried it!) others will rejoice at the convenience, and the realisation that, wherever you go, a good quality cocktail can go with you.
At Cutwater, we don't yet have a gin-based cocktail in our 'famous five,' so we won't feel too cheated if you fancied whipping up a storm with the below Gin favourites!
The Gin Martini
Expertise Level: Easy
STIR (or shake) the gin and vermouth in a shaker with ice. Try not to break up the ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and GARNISH with a twist of lemon peel.
- 2 shots Gin
- 1/2 Shot of Vermouth
- 1 Lemon
The Negroni
Expertise Level: Medium
Fill cocktail shaker to rim with ice and COMBINE all ingredients. STIR with bar spoon for 20 seconds. Add fresh ice to rocks glass and strain the drink into glass. Zest glass with orange peel, twist and GARNISH
- 1 shot gin
- 1 shot sweet red vermouth
- 1 shot campari
- orange twist
The Bramble
Expertise Level: Easy
COMBINE the first 3 ingredients to an old-fashioned glass half-filled with crushed ice and STIR. Top with more crushed ice and STIR again. Drizzle over the blackberry syrup or liqueur to create a ‘bleeding’ effect through the ice.
- 60ml Gin
- 30 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 15 ml simple syrup15 ml blackberry syrup or liqueur.
